Interculturalism & Anti-Racism

Promoting interculturalism, human rights, equality, diversity and inclusion in solidarity with community and voluntary organisations and initiatives across all sectors in Donegal.
Ongoing Work
- Donegal Travellers Project initiatives, particularly those focused on intercultural training, are designed to challenge injustice and institutional racism, especially as experienced by Traveller and Roma communities.
- An intercultural approach involves the exchange of views between people of different cultures in order to build trust, understanding and respect. Participation by all is central to building an inclusive society.
- Intercultural training is a core, ongoing priority for Donegal Travellers Project, recognising lived experiences of inequality and the struggle for equality and justice.
- DTP delivers participatory intercultural workshops to a wide range of services and organisations, including community and voluntary groups, secondary and third-level schools, and frontline health care services.
- A bespoke Diversity Aware online programme, designed by DTP, supports individuals and employers to better understand diversity in communities and workplaces. The programme is available remotely through our website, with certificates issued on completion.
